Once the lock is out of the way, you can effortlessly slide the face plate of the escutcheon onto the backing plate. Don’t forget to replace the door cylinder, as it holds the escutcheon plate securely in place.
Check that it is firmly fastened and functions properly. Test the lock by turning the key and opening and closing the door. Finally, make any necessary adjustments to the escutcheon and lock, and then tighten all screws in place.
