Genuine Yale Replacement 35-92/62 Latch & Deadbolt – Dual Spindle Lock Box Centre Case

The Genuine Yale Replacement 35-92/62 Latch & Deadbolt Dual Spindle Lock Box Centre Case is purpose-built as a reliable centre gearbox replacement for Yale Lockmaster multipoint door lock systems. Designed to suit doors operating on a lift lever mechanism, this centre case provides the essential latch and deadbolt function that restores smooth operation and dependable security when your original gearbox begins to fail. Manufactured to genuine Yale specifications, it offers precise compatibility for repairs where maintaining the original locking performance is essential.

This lock box is configured for Euro cylinder operation and features a 35mm backset measurement with 92/62mm (PZ) centres, making it suitable for many modern uPVC, composite and timber door applications. The dual spindle design ensures correct handle and cylinder alignment, while the fixing positions measure 110mm from the top fixing to the centre fixing and 108mm from the bottom fixing to the centre fixing. With an overall case length of 230mm, this gearbox is engineered to slot directly into existing Yale Lockmaster strips without the need for modifications, saving both time and effort during replacement.

As the heart of the multipoint door lock, the centre case gearbox controls the latch, deadbolt and the engagement of the locking points along the strip. Wear within this component is one of the most common causes of stiff handles, failed lift lever action or doors that no longer lock correctly. Replacing the centre case rather than the entire strip is a cost-effective and efficient repair that restores the door to full working order.

Routine maintenance can significantly extend the life of your multipoint lock. Periodically lubricating the internal gearbox mechanism with a light application of GT85 helps keep the moving parts operating smoothly and reduces wear on internal components. Avoid using thick oils or grease, as these can attract debris and hinder performance over time.

Whilst upgrading your multipoint door lock centre case, it is the perfect opportunity to refresh other key components. Replacing tired or worn door handles can greatly improve both the appearance and operation of your door, and upgrading your existing Euro cylinder to a high security 3 star cylinder will dramatically enhance your home’s resistance against common attack methods such as snapping and bumping.
