The Maco 243643 45mm 2 Hook 20mm Radius End Faceplate Multipoint Door Lock is built to deliver dependable security and smooth day-to-day operation for both composite and timber entrance doors. Designed around a centre-positioned lock box with latch and deadbolt functionality, this model uses a Euro cylinder and a split spindle arrangement to ensure controlled entry and secure locking performance. Its 45mm backset and 92mm (PZ) centre make it a compatible replacement for a wide range of existing setups, while the 20mm radius-end faceplate supports a clean, snug fit within the door edge. This lock is a non-extendable lift-lever mechanism featuring two additional hooks positioned with precision at 735mm above the centre and 755mm below, resulting in a 1490mm hook-to-hook spacing across an overall lock length of 1750mm. Anti-lift pins within the hook mechanism add a further layer of protection against forced entry, giving homeowners peace of mind backed by the trusted Maco brand.
To keep your multipoint lock performing at its best, periodic maintenance is recommended. Applying GT85 to the gearbox area helps ensure smooth operation and prolongs the life of the locking mechanism. A light annual lubrication routine can significantly reduce wear and improve reliability, especially on frequently used doors.
Upgrading a multipoint door lock also presents an ideal moment to refresh other key hardware. Replacing your cylinder with a high-security 3-star door cylinder enhances protection against picking, drilling, and snapping, making your door system even more resilient. Likewise, pairing your new lock with a fresh set of door handles can elevate the appearance of your entrance.
