Each plank measures 1251 mm x 189 mm, built with a 5 mm total thickness, including the integrated acoustic backing. This acoustic layer reduces both impact noise and sound transmission, giving the floor a softer and more comfortable feel than most hard surfaces. The rigid multi-layer construction provides stability across temperature changes, while the PU wear layer protects the surface from scratches and everyday wear.

Major Oak performs better than many traditional flooring materials in busy homes. Laminate and timber floors can be noisy, sensitive to moisture and demanding to install, while Prisma Acoustic flooring is moisture-resistant, easier to fit and requires far less maintenance. The integrated underlay means there is no need to purchase or position a separate layer, and the click-locking system ensures the planks join cleanly without adhesives or specialist tools.

Installation is straightforward. The floor is fitted as a floating system, with the acoustic layer sitting directly on the prepared subfloor. As long as the surface is clean, dry and level within normal tolerances, the planks lock together securely.
